miniBAR – The Smallest Bar in Singapore with Maximum Impact
A Bold Design That Stands Out on Orchard Road
Tucked into a vibrant corner of Centrepoint’s street-facing shop space, miniBAR lives up to its name as Singapore’s smallest bar—yet its open-concept design and striking aesthetics ensure it captures attention. Designed for maximum visibility, this intimate space combines clever architectural solutions with a warm, inviting atmosphere that draws passersby in.
A Lattice Baffle Ceiling: Defining Space with Style & Function
The bar’s light timber-toned lattice baffle ceiling serves a dual purpose: visually framing the space while providing localized acoustic treatment. This design choice ensures that despite its compact size, theminiBAR remains a comfortable retreat from the bustle of Orchard Road.
Black & Golden Orange: A Trendy, Revenue-Boosting Color Scheme
The bar’s bold black and golden orange palette isn’t just stylish—it’s psychologically strategic.
Golden orange exudes warmth, energy, and luxury, evoking feelings of excitement and indulgence—perfect for a bar setting.
Black adds sophistication and contrast, making the space feel sleek and premium.
This combination is a current trend in hospitality design because it creates an inviting yet upscale vibe, encouraging patrons to step inside. Studies show that warm, vibrant colors like orange can stimulate appetite and social interaction, directly impacting dwell time and drink sales.
Intricate Joinery & Illuminated Displays: A Feast for the Eyes
The main bar display features expertly crafted joinery, with staggered shelves backed by mirrors.
Orange-lit boxes, reminiscent of champagne packaging, highlight the liquor selection, making it visually enticing.
The green wall backdrop introduces a refreshing contrast, subconsciously promoting relaxation and balance—key for a bar where guests unwind.
Mesh Elements & Clever Spatial Definition
To prevent the small space from feeling cramped, mesh was strategically incorporated in partitions and the suspended logo.
Mesh maintains transparency, allowing light and visibility while subtly zoning the area.
The floating logo reinforces branding without overwhelming the space.
Thoughtfully Selected Bar Furniture: Comfort Meets Aesthetic Cohesion
The custom bar furniture was chosen not just for comfort but to complement the bar’s design language.
Ergonomic seating encourages longer stays, boosting revenue.
Material and color consistency ensures a seamless, high-end look that aligns with the bar’s identity.
Discreet Yet Effective Signage
All signages were carefully integrated—providing necessary information without dominating the space. This minimalist approach keeps the focus on the bar’s striking design elements, reinforcing its premium appeal.
A Tiny Bar with Big Architectural Impact
miniBAR proves that size doesn’t limit impact. Through smart spatial planning, trend-driven colors, and meticulous detailing, this compact bar delivers an unforgettable experience—turning curious passersby into loyal patrons.
